About Dave Rath...Dave Rath is a fabulous vocalist and an accomplished piano and keyboard player. His smooth, melodic voice is the perfect lead on ballads such as "Do What You Want To Do" by Hall and Oats, or on melodic songs such as "Long Time Gone" by Crosby, Still and Nash. Dave's vocal harmonizing compliments the BlockLogik ensemble beautifully as he adds his sharp ear to their 3 and 4 part harmonies. His vocal style is often compared to that of Paul McCartney. Dave has played keyboards and piano, and performed lead and backing vocals for BlockLogik for nearly 15 years. (Listen to Dave tinkling the ivories on the swinging Motown tune "634-5789" by Wilson Pickett.) He also has co-written a great deal of their original material, including the snappy dance songs "Back In The Game", and "Jack of Hearts", as well as the newer 'Ode to the Matador', "Blood in the Sand". |
